Local government in Surrey is changing, from 1 April 2027, Guildford Borough Council and Surrey County Council will be replaced by a new unitary authority called West Surrey Council.

Friday 15 May

18:30             The Deputy Mayor, Councillor Dominique Williams, accompanied by her Consort, Mr Jonathan Williams, joins the Mayors and Chairmen of the Surrey Districts for the Mayor of Runnymede's Spring Soiree in the Royal Gardens at The Savill Garden, Windsor Great Park, Englefield Green.  Funds from this event will go to the Mayor of Runnymede's chosen charities.

 

Saturday 16 May

11:00             The Mayor, Councillor Jane Tyson, officially opens the CherryVale Nursery's new garden at Frimley Road, Ash Vale.

18:00             The Mayor attends the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community National Peace Symposium at Islamabad, Sheephatch Lane, Farnham.

 

Sunday 17 May

09:00             The Mayor attends the Rotary Club of Guildford Wey's Annual Charity Walk at Shalford Park, Shalford.

09:30             The Deputy Mayor attends the Guildford Distinguished Gentleman's Ride at the Guildhall, High Street, Guildford.

13:00             The Deputy Mayor, accompanied by her Consort and family, attends The Therapy Garden's National Garden Scheme Open Day at Manor Fruit Farm, Normandy.

 

Thursday 21 May

09:50             The Mayor attends the Guildford Poyle Charities Annual General Meeting and Dicing Ceremony at the Guildhall, Guildford.

 

Friday 22 May

09:15             The Mayor attends the Weyfield Primary School's Charity Mufti Day, raising funds towards the development of their Wellbeing Garden.

18:30             The Mayor attends the 700th Anniversary of the Order of St George at The Cosy Club, Tunsgate Quarter, Guildford.

 

Saturday 23 May

12:05             The Mayor attends the Kirat Rai Community Uk - Ubhauli (Ascending) Cultural Festival 2026.

 

Wednesday 27 May

10:30             The Mayor attends a Coffee Morning at Abbot's Hospital, High Street, Guildford.

18:30             The Mayor, accompanied by a guest, attends the Guildford Opera Company's performance of Verdi's Opera King for a Day at Holy Trinity Church, High Street, Guildford.

 

Friday 29 May

12:00             The Mayor, accompanied by a guest, attends ShyneFest at Merrist Wood, Holly Lane, Worplesdon.
