This SPD contains guidance for managing changes to key views in Guildford. It helps planners, developers, and designers to: 

• maintain Guildford's character  
• appreciate key heritage assets 
• understand the relationship between Guildford and its landscape setting 

The SPD focuses on:

• Guildford town centre (as defined by the town centre boundary in the Local Plan)
• some views which are outside this area

We adopted the SPD on 24 September 2019. Check the:
