There are no changes to bin collections over the Easter bank holiday.

Voter ID in the General Election

By law, you must show polling station staff an approved photo ID before they give you a ballot paper.

If your photo ID has expired it will be accepted if the photograph is a good likeness of you.

If you do not have an accepted photo ID, you can apply in person, by post, or online for a Voter Authority Certificate (opens new window). It's a free photo ID specifically for voting.

Alternatively, you can apply using a paper application form. Call 01483 444107 during office hours to request a paper application from.

The deadline to apply is 5pm, 6 working days ahead of a poll. 

If you have recently moved to Guildford from another local authority area and have a Voter Authority Certificate issued by your previous local authority, you do not need to apply for a new one. You can use the one you have to vote in your polling station in Guildford, so long as the photo remains a good likeness to you.
