Weather warning

Essential maintenance to our planning services

Surrey Hills National Landscape

The Surrey Hills are designated as a 'National Landscape'.  Previously this was called an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' (AONB). Conserving them is of national importance.

Surrey Hills AONB Management Plan 

The plan explains how local councils will conserve the area. It was written by:

  • Guildford Borough Council 
  • Mole Valley District Council 
  • Reigate and Banstead Borough Council 
  • Tandridge District Council 
  • Waverley Borough Council
