Infrastructure baseline 2026

We have prepared an Infrastructure Baseline Study (PDF, 3 MB) to help inform the preparation of the New Guildford Local Plan, It covers the first stage of infrastructure planning only (i.e. an assessment of the baseline). In doing do it seeks to:

• identify existing provision of infrastructure and reflect on current capacity where this is known,
• reflect on the current infrastructure and investment plans of infrastructure providers and authorities,
• identify progress with, or changes to, planned delivery of infrastructure that was identified as part of the previous IDP that supported the Local Plan Strategy and Sites 2019

The Local Plan Strategy and Sites 2019 includes an Infrastructure Schedule at Appendix 6.

We will be compiling a new Infrastructure Delivery Plan as part of the next phases of the Guildford Local Plan preparation when we begin to develop our preferred spatial strategy. This will set out infrastructure proposed to support planned growth.
