We're working with an award‑winning local company to support greener, more sustainable buildings across the area.

It's part of a partnership between us, Waverley Borough Council (WBC) and Mesh Energy. The partnership will support the growth of our local green economy, through an innovative new digital platform.

The one-year pilot programme will provide built environment

  • businesses
  • practitioners
  • and council staff

across both boroughs with free access to Meshwork. It's a collaborative platform focused on:

  • sustainable development
  • and best practice in the built environment.

As part of the initiative, we will, alongside WBC, offer unlimited Meshwork licences for local businesses and practitioners. This will last for a 12-month period. Access will be provided via a dedicated affiliate link and coupon. It will sit alongside a jointly branded registration page. The page highlights the councils' sponsorship of the programme.

Participants will receive guided onboarding and a structured welcome process. This makes sure they're supported from the outset and are able to make the most of the platform.

All members joining through the scheme will receive unlimited access to:

  • The Meshwork Community Hub
  • CPD Essentials training resources
  • A wide-ranging library of sustainability-focused content
  • New events and learning opportunities curated by Mesh Energy

The platform is designed to connect professionals across the built environment sector. It will enabling them to:

  • share knowledge,
  • build skills
  • and collaborate to deliver more sustainable outcomes.

This initiative supports our commitment to fostering a thriving and sustainable local economy. It does this while helping to deliver on our environmental ambitions. Both Council's Economic Development Strategies prioritise supporting green growth. They have a shared focus on:
