Acupuncture and cosmetic treatments registration - workplace health and safety

Businesses and practitioners who provide acupuncture treatment, tattooing, semi-permanent skin colouring, cosmetic piercing and electrolysis are required by Section 14(7) and Section 15(7) of the local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982, viewable from the Downloads section, to register with us if they wish to operate in the borough.

Registering as a new business or practitioner

  • To license a premises and/or one practitioner - £126.00

  • For an additional practitioner at the time of an inspection - £18.00


Once we've received your completed application, a member of the Food and Safety Team will arrange for an inspection.

You should anticipate a visit shortly after your application is submitted.
