Challenges to the 2019 Local Plan
The Council adopted the new Local Plan on 25 April 2019. There were three legal challenges to the plan. On 4 December 2019, Sir Duncan Ouseley, sitting as a High Court judge, dismissed all three challenges.

One claimant sought permission to appeal the High Court judgement. On 25 February 2020, Rt. Hon. Lord Justice Lewison refused permission to appeal.
