Challenges to the 2019 Local Plan

The Council adopted the new Local Plan on 25 April 2019. Read the documents we considered here (opens new window). There were three legal challenges to the plan. On 4 December 2019, Sir Duncan Ouseley, sitting as a High Court judge, dismissed all three challenges.

One claimant sought permission to appeal the High Court judgement. On 25 February 2020, Rt. Hon. Lord Justice Lewison refused permission to appeal.
