Improving battery safety in our homes
We are inviting residents to share their views on the use of electric bikes, scooters, mobility scooters, and other battery-powered devices in council homes.
Many of these devices rely on lithium-ion batteries, which can pose a serious fire risk if they are not stored or charged safely. This short, anonymous survey, will help us better understand how these devices are being used and stored, and to identify what support or safety measures residents feel would help.
You don't need to own a battery-powered device to take part, everyone is welcome to share their view. The survey takes just two minutes to complete, and feedback will directly inform improved guidance and practical safety measures across council properties.
