Equalities - Equality Framework for Local Government

The Equality Framework for Local Government (EFLG) is a simple performance improvement and benchmarking tool. It helps local councils to meet their obligations under the Equality Act 2010. 

There are four improvement modules: 

1. Understanding and working with your communities 

2. Leadership and organisation commitment 

3. Responsive services and customer care

4. Diverse and engaged workforce 

Under the framework there are three levels of achievement:

• Developing

• Achieving

• Excellent

We are currently graded as 'Achieving' and are working towards 'Excellent'.
