Hire of public parks and open spaces

Guildford's parks and open spaces are available for hire for public events, fitness sessions, filming and balloon launches.

Parking for Stoke Park visitors

There is a small public car park on Nightingale Road (GU1 1ER) which is accessible via the Home Farm entrance. The student car park at Guildford College (GU1 1EZ) can be used after 6pm weekdays and is open to the public all day during weekends and college holidays. Enquiries regarding the college car park should be directed to Guildford College.

There is also a public car park at the end of Lido Road (GU1 1HB). Visit our car parks page for more information on parking.

Ranger Service

The Ranger Service is a mobile patrol which provides a uniformed, reassuring presence in Guildford's green spaces and a friendly first point of contact with park users.

Ranger Service operating hours:

  • Monday - Thursday 9am - 10pm
  • Friday - Sunday 9am - 8pm (9am - 9pm from May to September)

Allotments

Whilst Guildford Borough Council owns most allotment site land, all management, including how to obtain a plot, is undertaken by Guildford Allotment Society.

Stoke Park facilities

Boating pond

The boating pond in Stoke Park Gardens has been filled and is ready for action.

Paddling pool

The paddling pool in Stoke Park Gardens is now open for the summer.

Crazy golf

The new mini golf course in Stoke Park Gardens has re-opened with the challenge of 18 holes.

Prices are: adults £4.10; under 16s £2.80; group ticket £10.50 (two adults and three under 16s).
