East Horsley Neighbourhood Area Consultation
East Horsley Parish Council applied for a neighbourhood area from on 18 June 2014. We consulted on the proposal between 14 July and 26 August 2014. Check the following documents:

Neighbourhood Plan consultation and examination
We consulted on the East Horsley Neighbourhood Plan between 22 August and 2 October 2017. Read the comments we received (opens new window).
We also considered whether the plan needed either:
- an environmental assessment
- an appropriate assessment under the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010
We determined neither of these assessments were required.

The plan was examined in January 2018 by an independent examiner, who recommended it should be modified and then progressed to a referendum of local residents within the neighbourhood area. Read the Examiner's report (PDF) [813KB] for more information.

East Horsley Neighbourhood Plan referendum
The referendum took place on 17 May 2018. Residents of the neighbourhood area were asked the following question:
Do you want Guildford Borough Council to use the neighbourhood plan for East Horsley to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?
