Neighbourhood planning in West Horsley - more information

West Horsley Neighbourhood Area Consultation 

West Horsley Parish Council applied for a neighbourhood area from on 17 June 2014. We consulted on the proposal between 14 July and 26 August 2014.

Officers recommended designating the neighbourhood area as proposed. Check their report (PDF, 1 MB)

Neighbourhood Plan Examination 

The Submission West Horsley Neighbourhood Plan was subject to:

  • public consultation
  • an external examination

The examiner recommended an amended version of the plan be put to a referendum of residents in the neighbourhood area. We've followed both recommendations.

West Horsley Neighbourhood Plan Referendum 

The West Horsley Neighbourhood Plan was the subject of a referendum on 22 November 2018. Residents of the neighbourhood area were asked the following question: 

Do you want Guildford Borough Council to use the neighbourhood plan for West Horsley to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?
