Help for landlords
Our help for landlords includes:
- help with the standards for electrical inspection and testing
- encouraging membership of the Guildford Lettings Accreditation Scheme
- investigating complaints relating to property conditions
- applying standards in Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs)
- working to bring long term empty properties back into use
For private sector housing, our priorities are to:
- reduce disrepair in private homes
- reduce the number of non-decent homes
- ensure all Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) meet the right standards
- reduce the number of empty properties
- help landlords to provide good standards of accommodation, which will be properly managed, at affordable rents
- improve energy efficiency in accommodation
