Join the caravan site manager fit and proper person register

Who needs to apply?

The fit and proper person must be the person with day-to-day responsibility for managing the site. This could be the site owner or a site manager.

You will need to apply to be on the register if you:

  • are a current licence holder
  • have applied for a new site licence
  • have applied to transfer a site licence to a new owner

To be a fit and proper owner/manager, you must prove:

  • you have financial and management arrangements in place for the site
  • you have the right to work in the UK
  • you do not have offences relating to:
  • you have not broken the law in relation to:
    • housing
    • caravan sites
    • mobile homes
    • public health
    • planning, environmental health, or landlord and tenant law
    • breaking the law in relation to the Equality Act 2010, or in connection with any business
    • harassment of any person 
    • insolvency within the last 10 years
    • disqualification from acting as a company director within the last 10 years
